Accrued Vacation Policy - Midi (Hourly)
VACATION POLICY
Midi Health believes work-life balance is fundamental for employee success. To help promote such balance, each eligible employee is offered paid vacation time.
Eligibility
Full-time (32+ hours/week) hourly, non-exempt employees
PTO Allotment:
0.0769 hours per regular hour worked / max of 160 hours (20 days) annually
Accrual
Vacation time begins accruing from the employee’s start date
Employees may utilize a maximum of 40 hours of advance PTO per year
Time will not be accrued while the employee is on a leave of absence
Vacation time is not accrued during overtime hours
PTO is not accrued during Office Closure Days
Usage
Employees may request vacation time for any reason they desire
Employees must use vacation time in one hour increments
For time off exceeding 5 days, employees should submit a request 3 months in advance, when possible.
Carryover
Unused vacation time will automatically roll over to the subsequent calendar year, but cap at 200 hours.
Pay
Employees are paid their regular rate
Vacation time is not considered hours worked for purposes of calculating overtime
Employees may not receive pay in lieu of unused vacation time
Upon termination of employment, employees will be entitled to receive payment for any accrued but unused vacation time, including time carried over. The payout of vacation time will be based on the employee's final rate of pay and will be included in the final paycheck
Procedure

In addition to requesting time off in Rippling, employees are required to email their manager to notify them of their requested time off dates.
All requests should be submitted in advance when possible
For requests under 5 days / 40 hours, requests should be submitted 2 months in advance
For requests over 5 days / 40 hours, requests should be submitted 3 months in advance.
Manager will do their best to accommodate all requests, evaluating each request based on business needs. Staff coverage, completion of important deadlines, and performance will be considered when making the approval decision.
