Midi Health and its affiliated clinical organizations have developed the Midi Heath Office Closure Policy that outlines office closures for all departments. After-hours protocols are still in effect during office. Office Closure days are paid benefits to full-time (32+ hours per week) employees only.

Midi currently recognizes the following Office Closures for 2024:

  • New Year’s Day

  • Martin Luther King Day

  • President’s Day

  • Memorial Day

  • Juneteenth

  • Independence Day

  • Labor Day

  • Thanksgiving

  • Christmas Eve

  • Christmas Day

  • New Year’s Eve

The following provisions apply during Office Closures:

  • Non-exempt employees required to work during office closures will be paid at their standard hourly rate.

  • Unless actual work is performed, Office Closure pay will not be considered as hours worked for non-exempt employees for the purpose of overtime calculation.

  • Employees on current leave of absence, layoff, or receiving short or longer-term disability benefits are not eligible for office closure pay.

  • Office Closure days are not accrued.

  • If Christmas Day / New Year’s Day falls on a Sunday, it will be observed on Monday.

  • If Christmas Day / New Year’s Day falls on a Saturday they will be observed on the Friday before
