Overtime
When operating requirements or other needs cannot be met during regular working hours, employees may be scheduled to work overtime hours. When possible, advance notification of these mandatory assignments will be provided. The opportunity to work overtime is at the discretion of management and is based on departmental needs. Any overtime worked by non-exempt employees must be authorized in advance in writing by your manager. Any non-exempt employee who works overtime without authorization may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
Any non-exempt employee who works overtime is compensated at the rate of one and one-half times (1½) the employee’s regular rate for all time worked in excess of forty (40) hours each workweek, unless otherwise required by applicable law. Overtime pay is calculated based on actual hours worked. Paid time off, holidays or any leave of absence will not be considered hours worked for purposes of performing overtime calculations.
