Remote Work Policy
Employees must designate a safe and secure remote workspace to perform their duties while working remotely from any location. Midi assumes no responsibility for injuries occurring in the employee’s remote workspace outside normal working hours or for injuries that occur as a result of a reasonably recognizable unsafe remote workspace. Workers’ compensation benefits are the sole remedy for job-related injuries to employees that occur in the employee’s remote workspace during working hours. All job-related accidents must be reported immediately for investigation.
Midi employees are required to use company supplied devices when conducting their job related duties. ****Midi will determine, with information supplied by the employee and the employee’s supervisors, as applicable, the appropriate equipment needs (including hardware, software, modems, phone and data lines, facsimile equipment or software, and photocopiers) for each position on a case-by-case basis. The IT department will assist with securing resources in this matter. Equipment supplied by Midi will be maintained by Midi. Employees should not use personal devices to perform job related tasks. Midi accepts no responsibility for damage or repairs to employee-owned equipment, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Midi reserves the right to make determinations as to appropriate equipment, subject to change at any time. Equipment supplied by Midi is to be used for business purposes only unless Midi advises otherwise. Upon termination of employment, all Midi property will be returned to Midi, unless other arrangements have been made.
Starting December 1, 2024, all new non-clinical employees will receive a New Hire Equipment Stipend of $250 on their first paycheck (clinical staff will receive the stipend after successfully passing their assessments), to be used for additional supplies needed to perform their job efficiently. For other job-related expenses incurred while working remotely, please refer to the Expense Reporting & Reimbursement Policy for full details regarding expense reimbursement.
Employees should ensure they have adequate internet access to perform work. Employees who do not have access to secure, reliable internet access at their remote workplace should contact Human Resources. All employees of Midi will receive a monthly Remote Work Stipend of $50 to help assist with the cost of internet access.
While working remotely, employees will be expected to complete their work assignments, must be available during regular business hours and must communicate with their supervisors and others as needed.
Employees must adhere to all Midi policies while working remotely.
Employees must use reasonable measures to maintain the confidentiality of all work-related information and follow Midi’s and client’s confidentiality policies. All security policies and procedures must be adhered to while working remotely.
